My darlings! Long time no see. I know, I know, this post is long overdue but, trust me, it's all for a good cause. I like to use new products I'm reviewing for a while before I give my final verdict on their performance. Plus, you know, life happens. Today our focus will be on the Curl Hydration Spray, Curl Moisture Cream, Curl Enhancing Custard, and the Argan Rose Hair Oil by OBIA Naturals. This is the 3rd and final part of my OBIA Naturals product review series: Moisturizers and Stylers. Curl Hydration Spray

Ingredients: Purified Water (Aqua), Vegetable Glycerin, Argania Spinosa (Argan) Oil, Rosa Damascena (Rose) Flower Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Gluconolactone and Sodium Benzoate, Phthalate-Free Fragrance (Parfum)

I use this spray in place of water to rehydrate my hair during my mid-week re-moisturize sessions. This Curl Hydration Spray comes out as a mist and evenly coats the section which preps it for my styling cream, so I don't have to use too much of the spray. This spray smells like a sweet rose perfume. The scent doesn't linger from this product though, so there's no need to worry about it clashing with anything. I also like to spray this on my scalp when it gets dry/itchy and it definitely helps cool and sooth my scalp.

Curl Moisture Cream

*Note: Behentrimonium Methosulfate and Cetearyl Alcohol is a plant based emulsifying conditioner

Ingredients: Purified Water (Aqua), Behentrimonium Methosulfate and Cetearyl Alcohol, Vitis Vinfera (Grape Seed) Oil, Vegetable Glycerin, Olea Europaea (Olive) Oil, Argania Spinosa (Argan) Oil, Gluconolactone and Sodium Benzoate, Arctium Lappa (Burdock Root), Lavandula Officinalis (Lavender) Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Oil, Phthalate-Free Fragrance (Parfum)

O.M.G This Curl Moisture Cream did not come to play with my thick 4C hair! For this past year that I have been natural, the ends of my hair has CONSTANTLY felt and sounded like crispy bacon when It's being combed through. I have no idea why my hair did this; I have conditioned/ deep conditioned religiously each week but no matter what kind of moisturizer I put on after, my hair just always sounded crunchy. I began to think this was the norm for my hair and tried to ignore the crunchy, snapping sounds of the comb running through my damp, product-filled hair. This cream has now changed that norm for me. The texture is smooth and the consistency is quite light, so naturally I was a tad bit nervous how it would perform on my hair. To my pleasant surprise this cream melted right into my hair and the best part: there was no crunch! I have finally found it, my miracle moisturizer! This cream is choc full of oils as well as moisturizing ingredients which immediately made me come to the conclusion that all of those products I was using before that had my hair snap, crackle and popping weren't moisturizing enough for my kinky tresses. Now that I have found a product that does moisturize, I plan on paying closer attention to the ingredients in my products and how they interact with my hair.

Curl Enhancing Custard
Ingredients: Purified Water (Aqua), Olea Europaea (Olive) Oil, Vitis Vinfera (Grape Seed) Oil,  Argania Spinosa (Argan) Oil, Carbomer, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Vegetable Glycerin, Gluconolactone and Sodium Benzoate, Xantham Gum, Fragrance

The Curl Enhancing Custard literally reminds me of pudding. It's super malleable in my hand and when I apply it to my hair, but it stays relatively put in the jar. This custard is lightweight yet has a medium hold and doesn't leave the hair hard and crunchy after it dries. When applying this custard I notice it defined my coils and I saw an actual curl pattern! For the longest I thought I didn't have a curl pattern, but when I applied this and saw my hair coil up I was super duper excited. Now, typically I didn't care for doing wash and go's with my hair but this product is definitely making me reconsider. The custard  has a sweet scent that slightly lingers but doesn't last more than a day.

Argan Rose Hair Oil

Inredients: Cocos Nucifera (Coconut Oil), Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Argania Spinosa (Argan) Oil, Rosa Damascena (Rose) Flower Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Phthalate-Free Fragrance (Parfum)

The Argan Rose Hair Oil is a lightweight oil that I typically use for sealing in the moisture from the styling products or oiling my scalp when it feels a little dry & itchy. The packaging says this oil can be used as a hot oil treatment, however, it's only 4oz and I'm heavy handed when it comes to those type of treatments, plus I wanted this oil to last as long as possible. I have been using it for close to two months now and I have about 1/3rd of the oil left to go. It does a great job keeping the moisture in my hair, plus it has a really nice, light fragrance that won't clash with any other scents I'm wearing.

Style
On old blow dried hair I used the Curl Moisture Cream to moisturize my entire head, parted out a bang and braided my hair to keep the moisture in until I was ready to take them out. For the bang I spritz a tiny bit of the Curl Hydration Spray, added a little more Curl Moisture Cream, then followed up wit the Curl Enhancing Custard and did four twists. Two days later I took out the braids and used the Curl Enhancing Custard to smooth my hair into a low puff then I untwisted my bangs using the Argan Rose Hair Oil, separated, fluffed and viola! Defined hydrated hair that lasts about 3+ days depending on your hair type and how well you take care of your hair.
